In early 2012, Mitch joined together Dave Malone, Camile Baudoin and Reggie Scanlan from The New Orleans Radiators plus drummer Eric Bolivar (Anders Osborne, Pimps Of Joytime), to form GATORATORS. The band had its debut at Jazzfest 2012 in New Orleans, and sold out two nights at Sweetwater, where Bob Weir and Mark Karan joined the band for some extended jamming. One of Mitch's more memorable gigs was when he was hired to perform solo jazz piano at Mick Jagger's daughter Karis' wedding, and another was when his trio played at a private birthday party Mick threw for Jerry Hall the following day. Mitch composed, produced and performed the score for several best-selling SuperNintendo and SEGA Genesis video games including Taz-Mania and Clay Fighter, and was the exclusive composer of DeadRingers, officially licensed classic Grateful Dead ringtones for cell phones. Mitch designed and produced DEADSHOWZ, a proprietary mobile Grateful Dead concert reference app for both iOS and Android devices.
Mitch is also a veteran feature film producer (he goes by "Mitchell" in the film world), and has produced or been on the production team for projects for LucasArts, Commercial Pictures, Walt Disney Productions, New World Pictures, American Playhouse, (c)olossal Pictures, Nintendo, InterPlay, Electronic Arts, SunSoft, U.S. Gold, and others. Mitch produced two Sundance Film Festival Official Selections (Dream With the Fishes starring David Arquette, Cathy Moriarty, Brad Hunt and Kathryn Erbe, and Christmas in the Clouds starring Graham Greene, M. Mitch also co-produced The Earth Will Swallow You, a feature-length documentary/performance film about -- and starring -- the popular rock band Widespread Panic. His current active productions include a 3-D feature film/videogame project based upon a novel to which he acquired the rights, a feature-length documentary about James Brown's band, and a music-based reality television series
